Kodiak
• After an hour in our training room, preparing for a hockey game the next day, my younger son popped up in the stu- dio to say he will join us after a quick shower. I thought this was my chance to make a good shot of him at his second favourite sport: archery. With serious table top work in progress, I used natural light from the very large patio door of the studio as none of the flashes was available. He was not in the mood to grant me the shot but gave me 5 minutes. This is the result after some minor retouche in AP… C&C welcomed! ronnyb, Patrick Connor, Madame and 1 other 4 Quote www.kodiakmedia.at bureau@kodiakmedia.at TeamViewer: 668 015 544 Skype: kodiakonline If personal taste is involved, Light is free, Mother Nature provides the light discussion is pointless. capturing it is NOT. but talent renders the image. SKD
Well I like it! There aren't enough photos on this board, mine aren't up because I'm not good enough yet! its a shame not to get the whole bow in, but that would mess up the balance of the image. can't decide whether i'd like a bit more light on his right forearm or not. Steve p.s. - like your glass photo as well
Kodiak
Hi Steve SKD! Well I like it! There aren't enough photos on this board, mine aren't up because I'm not good enough yet! Since this is an Affinity Photo forum too, we could help one another like the "Designer" do… so post them anyway! ;) its a shame not to get the whole bow in, but that would mess up the balance of the image. can't decide whether i'd like a bit more light on his right forearm or not. Right, but how much of the bow is needed to recognize it?As for the light on the right elbow, I thought that the progression of the brightness in the same direction the the arrow would go is fitting the shot rather nicely. Well I like it! like your glass photo as well Great, glad you like them! Thanks for the comments! Madame
I like the picture too. If you ask for cc, maybe more people will respond? What did you do with it in affintity? Maybe it would interest people? I'm just suggesting.. not sure. I like the lighting, it's very dramatic and goes well with the theme. The lines are beautiful, leads the eye through the entire picture. The only thing I would point out is the highlights on the lower back. I think it's a little distracting.Excellent photo. Kodiak
If you ask for cc, maybe more people will respond? Thanks, added the C&C welcome. What did you do with it in affintity? Maybe it would interest people? Did retouche some markings on the bow and minor back skin irregularities. The only thing I would point out is the highlights on the lower back. I think it's a little distracting. Right… but on the other hand, it is the only place the sweat beads may be seen! Excellent photo. Thanks for that! :) Quote www.kodiakmedia.at bureau@kodiakmedia.at TeamViewer: 668 015 544 Skype: kodiakonline If personal taste is involved, Light is free, Mother Nature provides the light discussion is pointless. capturing it is NOT. but talent renders the image.
