biscuit
1) Enabling layer fx disables layer blend ranges. You can still set the ranges but they won't effect the object. 2) Percentages beneath the graph all over the place. e.g. in-between points never 0% or 100% even when at top or bottom. You can set a point by typing percentages, will move correctly, but display old incorrect percentages. 3) Smooth graph adding extremes between points. The line differs significantly from the input point and causes a banding effect. I have the impression this occurs more often when starting with a linear graph and then smoothing it. biscuit
Hi there, Gonna give this a bump because these issues still occur in the latest beta (0.28) and I don't know if they got logged. Add export bug: when exporting to pdf for print the layer blend ranges applied on a layer were ignored.
Staff Chris B Posted October 28, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2016 HI biscuit, Not sure how this slipped the net. I can reproduce what you've shown us so I'll get this logged for you. Apologies for not doing this sooner. Thanks How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Staff Chris B Posted October 28, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 28, 2016 Actually, I think I got myself confused with issue 1. It looks as though I had the objects ordered differently. If my bottom shape has an FX and I change the composition range, I can see the change. If I then make that the top object, the composition range appears to not be in effect. Comparing this to the Mac, it seems the same. Issue 2 - I get some conflicting feedback between Windows and Mac: Windows: Underlying Composition Ranges - Drag left not to bottom left it reports In as 0% and Out 100% - Click the top right node In is 0% and Out 100%Mac Underlying Composition Ranges - Drag left not to bottom left it reports In as 0% and Out 0% (Different) - Click the top right node In is 100% and Out 100% (Different)Are your Windows results the same as mine? it seems that the Underlying Composition Ranges are conflicting for me but the Source Layer Ranges are the same. biscuit
Hi Chris, I get the same results displayed on windows. Type in 25% en 75% and it will actually map it to the 'mac values' which seem to be correct ones. Regarding issue 1: child layers with fx and parents with blend ranges seem to work fine, but if you apply both to the same the blend ranges will become invisible. Good to know there is a workaround though.
