Hey Guys,

I am going to make my student portfolio using Designer and Artboards as pages.

Are there any limits to a number of art boards or file size in Designer
I will probably have about 150 pages of drawings, images and text. Will it work or better to split deferent sections into different files?

Is there a way to group Artboard but keep individual Margins? If I group two art boards Designer will unite two margins into one across two art boards.

Thank you,

P.S. I know I can use InDesigner or Pages or other programs, but I want to make it in Designer and then transfer to Publisher when it is out.

Ha, I was just about to suggest that InDesign would be better suited for that. :) Good forward thinking on your side.

As far as I know the only limit is the processor power of your computer.

Hi artpen,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

No, there isn't automatic page numbering. You may want to label each artboard with a number.

Note that when exporting, the bottom artboard in the Layers panel will be the first "page" of the exported PDF (assuming you will want to export as PDF).

Affinity Publisher, available later, will be the most adequate app for this type of project as you noted.

Thank you MEB,

Yes, I have started to number all pages myself. It is fine. I think it will be easy to transfer individual artboard to Publisher later anyway.

Another thing is it possible to group multiple artboard, but also preserve individual margins?

Thank you.
