atarashiidesu
I frequently use software to clean up hand drawn art. I use red(or blue) sketch lines and then ink over them, similar to standard practices in comic illustration. In photoshop there is a relatively simple process to remove the red lines and in recent years a script to handle the whole process. How can I do this in Affinity Photo(or designer)? Sample sketch attached.
Staff Lee D Posted October 13, 2016 Staff Share Posted October 13, 2016 Hi atarashiidesu, Open your image and Duplicate the Background layer, highlight the duplicate and select the Channels tab. Now click the eye icon (Visible) on composite Green,Blue and Alpha, your image will now only show the black ink. Another way would be to simply convert it to Black & White, you can adjust the sliders, which may give a better result. Hope this helps. atarashiidesu
This is great. How do I now extract just that image? When I export or save the color data is back. Also if you know the method in Designer I would appreciate some tips. THANKS!!
James Francis
Hi, I figured this out. After you deselect the channels, go down to the Blue Background, right-click and create a grayscale layer.
