ahelton
Is there an easy way to add an inner border for basic shapes and more complex shapes? I'v only been able to find the inner outline option in the layer effects panel, but that doesn't do what I am looking to accomplish. I just want to add a border inside of a shape. Something like the attached image. I know for simpler shapes like a square, I can just create a second square with no fill and a stroke and resize it to accomplish this, but I figure there's probably a better way. Thanks. armadillo
Why not use the stroke property? You have full control over miter, join, and align properties.
Busenitz
I think what you are wanting is an interior contour, which is not yet available. (Still trying to be patient on that one, as it is something I use all of the time!) You have to make the stroke (border, or outline) the width of the inset you want, then choose Layer / Expand Stroke.. This will separate the stroke from the original object. You will have to divide the stroke, and choose the inner part for your outline. Set the fill to Empty, and then choose the stroke attributes you want.
