As I already wrote, the tool is consistent (apart from its name) across the apps. In all of the apps, the tool works differently on vector objects than on Pixel objects, but the difference is consistent across the apps. I do agree that there should be "extend" and "quality" options for bitmap fill of Pixel objects, but these options are missing for Pixel objects in all of the apps and not just in Designer. I am not 100% sure if those options should be available for pixel objects, but one thing that apparently should not be available for those objects, & that is the Stroke context. Not only does it not make any sense to offer that context because pixel objects have no stroke, at least on my Mac, the moment I select a bitmap fill for the non-existent stroke, that immediately crashes the app. This is consistent in all three Mac Affinity apps. I have been testing with this bitmap stroke crash test.afphoto file, opening it in each of the three apps. I would like to know if others see the same thing. Staff MEB Posted May 5, 2020 Staff Share Posted May 5, 2020 This only affects macOS and it's already logged. On Windows the Type dropdown becomes greyed out as soon as we set the Context dropdown to Stroke when a pixel layer is selected.
