Octograficus
Yesterday I had to create a background for a event one of my clients. A canvas of 2x2.5 m with something like an frost room with a polar bear. It can improve the top and some detail, but did not have much time to do it, 2-3 hours is not bad, and the client very happy. peter and DannyBCreative
peter
Cool! (Cliche alert :P ) This would look lovely on the back of a frozen food van. It's a rough edit, as I got frostbite halfway through. ;) Alfred and Octograficus 2 Quote MacBook pro, 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB, OS X 10.11.6 http://www.pinterest.com/peter2111
Alfred
This would look lovely on the back of a frozen food van. It might look even better on the side of the van, where it would be uninterrupted by all that door furniture, but I suppose there's a risk that it could frighten a few pedestrians! :P Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)

On the rear of the artic(ulated) lorry is a photograph of a bull; standing in the empty trailer. As for the side of the van how's about the ice cave corridor? You might think twice about SMIDSY, if you saw this on the road! I gather it's something to do with motorcycles, but that's all I know. Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.4.1 (iPad 7th gen)
peter
You're absolutely right...It's an acronym for Sorry Mate I Didn't See You! This is due to the fact that cars/lorries/buses/vans can't see cyclists/motorbikes/pedestrians and other vulnerable road users. Typically found at t-junctions and roundabouts. This is usually caused by a lack of attention/high speeds/poor visibility/bad mirror usage/low level sun/foggy and frozen windscreens, bad A-pillar design and not forgetting driving rain because door windows and mirrors don't have wipers. :( So as someone who has experienced both sides of this; I can say it is everybody's responsibility... http://www.safespeed.org.uk/pr132.html PS It was a robot on Robot Wars, in the 7th wars. http://robotwars.wikia.com/wiki/S.M.I.D.S.Y.
