FluorescentTurban
Hi! I think I turned on a feature on accident or something. I now see a grey rectangle around my image in Affinity Designer. The image is bigger than the line is, but just barely. Is this some sort of padding or margin setup? Thanks! Let me know if you need a screenshot.
Staff MEB Posted September 26, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 26, 2016 Hi FluorescentTurban, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) I believe you're added a stroke to the image by accident. If that's the case select the image, change to the Move Tool and in the context toolbar (right above the work area), click on the Stroke colour rectangle and set it to None. FluorescentTurban
No, I tried that but the grey line still appears.
Rik
Can you give us a screenshot of what the problem looks like? Quote Art & Logo Design

Rik
Look in the Layer section and see if you can find this grey line rectangle. Try unchecking each item, one by one, to see if you can find which item has this grey line attached to it. Quote Art & Logo Design
FluorescentTurban
Looks like it was some kind of glitch - restarting Affinity did the job. Thanks for your help anyways.
Alfred
What you were seeing was the edges of the canvas. To reproduce the effect, draw a rectangle or place an image which is bigger than the canvas, and then turn off 'Clip to Canvas' via the 'View > View Mode' submenu (or by pressing the '\' keyboard shortcut, which is probably what you did accidentally).
