houseofdeadleg
Apologies if this has been discussed already, in Photoshop it's possible to draw a vector path with the pen tool and then to apply a pixel stroke along the path. Is there any plan to include something similar in AD?
Staff MEB Posted September 22, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 22, 2016 Hi houseofdeadleg, You can already apply pixel/raster based brushes to vector paths in Designer. Not sure if this is what you're looking for? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
houseofdeadleg
Not really. In the draw persona, unless I'm mistaken, it takes an image and stretches it along the path? Whereas in the pixel persona you can define a brush from a small texture which is then repeated, spaced, etc along the length of a stroke. I'd like to be able to do the latter, but along a predefined vector stroke. Hopefully that all makes sense.
Staff MEB Posted September 22, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 22, 2016 You can set the body (image) of the brush to repeat like in the example on the left instead of stretching along the path, but if you are looking for the same versatility/dynamics as the brushes found in Pixel Persona (which use a different engine) then that's not possible. The engine used in Draw Persona (vector based) isn't as much developed as the one you find in Pixel Persona/Affinity Photo.
