Align children object?

Hi fedorov,

Enable snapping (Snap to object bounding boxes and Include bounding box mid points) then drag the object inside the container to the center. Smart guides will appear to help align it. Note that this may not work for editable text since the vertical center of the text object may not match the vertical center of the text itself. Only text converted to curves will align perfectly.

Hi @Rudantu
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Since the original post there was improvements to the app for this. Select the object (or objects) you want to align to the parent, make sure you have snapping enabled then toggle Show Alignment Handles in the contest toolbar (Move Tool still selected) finally drag the small solid blue arrows that appear over the child object and drag them over the edges of the parent's bounding box, midpoints, gaps or other objects) to align them. See video attached below for an example. You can learn more about it here: https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/ObjectControl/align.html?title=Aligning objects
