I recently downloaded the trial versions of Affinity photo and design.  In the distant past I used a windows program called Jasic (might not be spelled correctly) that was subsequently purchased by Corel.  This program had "tubes" that could be downloaded.  Are these available with either of the Affinity programs?

Second question is about designer.  I hoped to use it to draft patterns for garment making.  Is it possible to print the design in full scale for cutting out and using to make the garment?

Third question - Are the trial versions the complete program and just for a limited time?

Hi pne,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

The program you are referring to is Paint Shop Pro from Jasc Software (purchased later by Corel) and the feature is called Picture Tubes. Affinity Photo/Designer is able to use more than one image as a brush/nozzle and tweak its dynamic properties but it's not exactly like Picture Tubes in the sense that they allow you to paint/spread different objects.

I don't see why you can't use it for garment making. I've already saw some questions in the forums from users using Affinity apps for this purpose.

The trial is the complete program (you can save you files with it) but it's limited to ten continuous days of use counting from the first time you run it. I advise you to give them a try to check if they fulfil your requirements. If you have any questions or find any issues just post here in the forums. There's plenty of users and staff willing to help.
