Does it work better with Affinity Photo and Design?         Can I expect older soft and devices would work ok too?

Coming from Windows side I can say an OS upgrade is not necessarily a good thing.   My i7 8gb ram macmini 2014 is slow as hell comparing to a random modern PC.   Could OS upgrade  make it even more slow?

I have been using it since the first public Beta on the Mac Mini and now the final version on a MacBook Pro and apart from a few apps that didn't worked during the public Beta (video capture, network security, some markdown editors etc) all seems to be working fine now. Most apps are receiving updates to fix compatibility issues so i'm quite happy. The upgrade itself was flawless for me on both machines and i'm not seeing any decrease in performance. Affinity apps are running just fine.

I don’t see any performance decrease either. There were even some nasty bugs with El Capitan on my slightly aged MacBook Pro, such as PDF display issues in Preview and Safari, that have been ironed out in Sierra. Thank goodness …  :)

(Only some localisation issues show up in the first official German version. For instance, “Aldus Roman” is translated “Aldus Römisch” in Fontbook, and “Lines” is translated as “Linien” instead of “Zeilen” in Pages … I wonder who is doing these localisations … )
