Is there a way to turn off panning with the magic mouse? Makes it a tad difficult when trying to make precise edits and can hold down the space bar when I need quick access to the hand tool. Thanks.

i agree. now that i work with AD every day i also feel that the panning with the magic mouse is way to sensitive. when working on an element and having a finger on the mouse, the document is moving very often.

We actually override the scroll behaviour in some of our tools, specifically to stop accidental magic mouse scrolls when adjusting nodes in the node tool, for example. Perhaps we need to go even further and allow a global option to just disable panning with the scroll gestures if they're getting in the way?

personally i like panning with the mouse, so disabling it would not be an option for me.

but in AD it seems to be very, very sensitive. perhaps it is possible to lower the sensity? in fireworks the mouse is less sensitive.

If Fireworks is responding to old style scroll messages only, then it would only be told to scroll about 1 in every 15 messages, so would appear to be far less sensitive. We respond to the newer scroll messages, hence why the panning can support the deceleration ramp after a pan (slowly gliding into place). We can definitely look at this in the future. but it's obviously not completely trivial...
