Staff Ash Posted July 8, 2014 Staff Share Posted July 8, 2014 If you place an image, then would be good if the object in the layers tab was automatically given the name of the file you've placed (without the file extension). Also think it would be nice for text objects be automatically named as the first x characters of whatever you've typed (unless you've specifically overwritten it with your own name). In some ways, considering the preview of text objects in the layer tab is generally illegible, the preview might be better spent with an icon denoting it's an art or frame text object, and therefore allowing x to be a bigger number as wouldn't need to take up space with describing the type of object after the name i.e. "...(Frame Text)" if that makes sense...
