A biplane top-view. First time illustrating. First time Affinity Designer

Hello,

This is my first time really illustrating anything. I've always dabbled in all kinds of graphics software before but have never had the commitment to generate output. Most of my time with tools like Inkscape, Blender, 3D Studio etc have always been exploratory.

Please feel free to provide feedback.

Thank you,

[EDIT] I edited to get rid of some spaces between various parts and tried experimenting with a flat look.

Your work is a good start.

My experience w. Inkscape is rudimentary. Perhaps it is because running under XQuartz on a Mac, the performance is jittery, and unpleasant. By contrast, AD has been remarkably smooth and quick. I think you'll be able to pick up skills fairly rapidly.

FWIW, it always good to have at least a few printed samples. Over the years, I've lost too many files to system failures, mistakes during migration, work stuck in formats that are impossible to open anymore.

Yes! Save and print, save and print that's the spirit!
