Pozos
When I import a photo to Affinity and it needs to be rotated 90 degrees how do I do it without going through the very cumbersome menu rotation which is in 15 degree increments. Can't believe there is not a one step 90 degree rotation possible. Thanks, Pozos
Staff Lee D Posted September 14, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 14, 2016 Hi Pozos, Welcome to the forums. To rotate an image by 90 degrees, you can use Arrange > Rotate 90º Clockwise or Rotate 90º Anticlockwise. Hope this helps. L
R C-R
Pozos, From your 15° increment comment, I think you may be confusing the rotate canvas commands on the View menu with rotating the document or its layers. Rotating the canvas is a connivence feature but it doesn't actually change anything in the document that will be saved with it. Staff MEB Posted September 14, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 14, 2016 Hi Pozos, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Adding to what Lee D said, the commands from the View menu were designed to rotate the canvas view to help you draw with a pen/table for example. They don't rotate the document. If you want to rotate the whole document go to menu Document ▸ Rotate 90º Clockwise or Rotate 90º Anticlockwise. To rotate just an object/layer follow Lee D instructions (Arrange > Rotate 90º Clockwise or Rotate 90º Anticlockwise).
