apply adjustments to multiple images at once

Recommended Posts

i'm new to the forum and i hope that it's not too much trouble to ask.

how can i apply the same adjustments to multiple images. say if i adjust the white balance in one of 20 pix, is there a way i can apply this white balance adjustment to the remaining pix?

Also, is there a way to auto apply the adjustment going forward - on opening let's say?

TIA.

Hi Mond,

This is possible using the Macro feature in our latest Customer Beta Build for Affinity Photo :) Using macros you can record actions and then have them automatically applied to photos during batch processing. You can download the latest beta from the below link, once you have installed it you can access Macros by going to View > Studio > Macro. Once you have recorded the Macros you would like to use you can go to File > New Batch Job to apply them to multiple photos at once.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to get these adjustments to auto apply when you open an image but that does sound like it would make a great addition to the app :) I recommend making a post about it in our Feature Requests section.

I have 60K photos in Aperature and Photo, can I export my photos and the metadata to a similar chronologic filing system in Affinity?

Can I put all the photos (plus metadata) into a single library with folders for the various years? Photo and Aperature took about 20 minutes to open the gigantic single library. Making a library for each year was much faster, but moving a single photo from one library to another was a too inefficient.

What/ who is a good resource to learn the filing and access functions between Affinity and Aperature/Photo apps?

Thanks Chili

Hi Chili,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Affinity Photo is not a DAM (digital assets management) software like Aperture or Apple Photos. It's a RAW converter/developer and photo editing app only. It doesn't manage libraries, so there's no way to import your collection into Affinity. We already announced plans to develop our own DAM solution later.

To learn more about Affinity Photo please check this thread: In-house Affinity Photo Video Tutorials. The Help file also cover the program's features extensively.
