[1.5.0.17] Crash: Switch to Pixel Persona then Ctrl + n

Switching to the Pixel Persona and then holding " Control + n" for new file is crashing with "0x8004003".

 

Same if using the menu for creating a new file or adding a new layer ors tarting to paint.

very strange. I tried it, but for me there are no problems.

Hmm strange, I have it every time I use the Pixel Persona.

This is happening on my Windows 10.

No such problems here. Try clearing your user data (by pressing the Ctrl key, keeping it held down while you launch the program and then pressing the 'Clear' button in the dialog that pops up).

Hmm It would be curious to know what might have caused this. If you get this again are you able to make a copy of the affinity folder in appdata so we can take a look?

I am the next days not able to have a look, but I sent already some of the crash reports and have a cooy of one report and I can try to get the files back from file history. If I can reproduce it I will let you know.

Could be down to the Text Styles Panel being visible ( which should be fixed in the next build)

Yes I can atleast confirm that it is happening if I change to the text styles tab and then switch to pixel persona and try do do something.

 

And it always jumps back to the Draw Persona if I create a new document. So it either makes no sence to have the buttons enabled if no document is open or it should not switch away if one has selected the Pixel Persona and then creates a new document?

I'm able to get this crash now so I shall get it logged. As long as you don't have text styles showing the the pixel persona when making a new document it's easy to work around
