David4
Equipment: MacBook Pro 8,3. OS 10.11.6. Printer, Epson Pro 9900 I would appreciate someone that has been printing with Affinity Photo, to help me print through AF, to my Epson Pro 9900. Seems hit and miss for paper centering, and paper sizes, at the print persona. Also, settings I have acquired, don’t stick in print persona. I need to redo the settings each time. I can print with PS CS5, and LR 6.6.1. I also am fortunate to have Printao 8 print software. I would find it convenient to be able to print from AF with it’s print persona Kind Regards, David Fixx
Staff Leigh Posted September 8, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 8, 2016 I've not experienced the issues you're describing when printing from Affinity Photo. Are you able to print from Apple's Preview without any issues? It's possible to save your current print settings in the Print window by clicking Save Current Settings as Presets... from the Presets dropdown. David4
Thank you for responding, Leigh. I have not printed from 'preview'. I have not tried 'save current settings as presets'. I'll keep experimenting. My biggest issue is having the image properly centered when it comes out of the printer. I think I have the image centered in the display, and, ooppss it's not Cheers, david
Fixx
What printer driver you are using? I have a driver for epson 3880 and it has very good controls for layout. There is no need to "center image in the display", you just set scale as needed and image is centered. Are you using roll paper, it could make difference? David4
Hi, Fixx. As I wrote in my post, I use the Epson Pro 9900. The Epson driver version is 9.33. Wished I could verbally communicate with an AF member to help me understand how the print persona works, and how to use it. A tutorial on the print persona would be extremely valuable. Kind Regards, David

Do you mean centered in the workspace window (which has no relationship to print size or position), centered on the canvas or artboard (which would), or something else? Fixx
AP has no artboards I think... and this confuses me too. Image is an image, and it is printer driver's business to place it to paper, and generally it should be able to center image.
