Schubi63
1) Open several documents 2.1) if you use "Modularer Modus" - you will find all of your opened documents at the bottom of the window menu 2.2) if you do not use "Modularer Modus" - you will only find your current selected opened document see pics Is it a bug or a feature? Fixx
Bug I would think. View menu has a lot of issues, in AP for example there is no way to see context toolbar in separated mode.
Staff Callum Posted September 5, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 5, 2016 Hi Schubi63, This is by design so you don't loose track of your open documents in Separated mode :) When you aren't in separated mode it will show the document you currently have open but not the rest as you track those through the tabs :) C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Schubi63
Hi Callum, really? It is done by design? But where is the purpose? status quo - if the "Modularer Modus" is not active: I see all my open documents as tabs. I can use ctrl+tab to switch between them. But in menu "window" I got prompted a "false situation" - in fact: there is only one document. Plus an inconsistent UI situation: if I want to jump to another open file via mouse I have to use the document-tabs. I cannot choose my desired file from menu window. On top of that: if you have lots of opened files - you cannot read their names very well. Especially if the ellipsis is at the end of the name. So for long names the menu window is always a very nice way to choose your desired file. But you cannot do so if "Modularer Modus" is not running. So I don't see any advantage of the status quo. Staff TonyB Posted September 5, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 5, 2016 We just mimic the behaviour of Safari. It's often very hard to subvert OSX window handling.
R C-R
I have to agree with Schubi63. There is no benefit to (nor is it consistent with other OS X apps) to not show all open documents in the Windows menu, regardless of the Window mode. As he said, it becomes very hard to tell from abbreviated names in tabs which file is which. Fixx
??? View > Show Context Toolbar does not work for you? Does nothing. Puck or no puck on front on menu item. Imagine how I feel when AP prompts me to "develop" image when I worked raw file ;-) Develop button is in context toolbar which is missing. And of course open documents should be listed regardless separated mode setting.

R C-R
Does nothing. Puck or no puck on front on menu item. It works as expected for me. What OS version & AD version are you using? Fixx
AP 1.4.2 OSX 10.10.5 AD works as supposed in this regard. BTW, I routinely use this MBP with and without extra 24" screen. Panels always drift in the center of screen when unplugged the extra screen. Would it be possible that panels would always stick/stay at right side of screen, regardless screen size? Annoying to drag panels to their right places several times a day...
R C-R
Fixx, I am running the versions shown below in my sig. Both AD & AP work as expected in both window modes. Have you tried resetting AP? Fixx
Is there some hard reset command? I did some resetting in preferences (and removed com.seriflabs.affinityphoto). Both Context toolbar and Toolbar (cmd-opt-T) are missing. Studio reset takes panels to their right places which saves trouble when switching screens. R C-R
To do a "hard" reset, hold down the Control key when launching the app, check all the options, & click Clear. This will reset everything to factory defaults, so do this only as a last resort.
