brent_harris
Hi All, I recently transitioned to AD from Adobe Illustrator, 'mid-project', and am trying to open an AI file in Designer. It opens fine, but in places where I''ve filled in colour in Illustrator, you can see small white hairline artifacts in the design. Any Suggestions? Are these just screen artifacts? Or are they actually there? Thanks. japedMum
A_B_C
These could be effects of the rasterisation algorithm, as explained by Matt here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15889-some-visible-hairline-that-irritate/?p=72360 You could try to use one of the methods detailed by Matt to reduce the effect. Hope that helps … :)
brent_harris
Thanks, I've tried a few different things with varying amounts of success. In the end (because I'm a bit too picky perhaps), I just ended up going through and editing the entire illustration to make it work with Designer. This will put my mind at ease, instead of wondering if it's going to screw up during the printing process. Ultimately, I will be doing everything in Designer now anyway, so it's just the minor inconvenience of a few lagging projects until then. Thanks for the help.
