just-photo
I am currently testing Affinity Photo and I want to buy AP via App Store. I read the release notes for Affinity Photo 1.5 and there will be things available which I miss in the current version. When will Affinity Photo be released and will the update be free of Charge? MaxHecks
Buy it. :D Updates on new versions are free. Staff MEB Posted September 2, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2016 Hi MaxHecks, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Just to clarify: minor updates (1.5, 1.6 and so on until 1.9) are free, major updates (version 2.0, 3.0 etc) are paid. MaxHecks
Thanks, that then also makes economic sense. Are the major updates for existing customers then something cheaper? Staff MEB Posted September 2, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2016 Hi MaxHecks That is complicated since the Mac App Store doesn't provide a way to offer discounts for existing customers. It's one of restrictions/limitations several developers already complained about. But since we are still months away from version 2.0 this may change until we get there. MaxHecks
For windows it would be possible because the want distributes about your site. This would be not fair for Mac user. I understand the predicament. I hope yes, there are perhaps a way, if not the software also the monetary value. Staff MEB Posted September 2, 2016 Staff Share Posted September 2, 2016 Yes, on Windows it's possible however it wouldn't be fair. I'm sure we will find a solution when we get there. MaxHecks 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
