Hi guys, Ive just installed Affinity Designer. I really look forward to it replacing my Adobe Illustrator, but one of the main tools I use is the rectangle grid tool. It would be great if you could please implement this into Affinity Designer. It would also be nice to see perhaps circle grid tool, triangle grid tool it would save me a lot of time when designing logos etc.

You do know Affinity already has grids, including square, isometric and triangular?

Turn on grid visibility, then open the "Grid and Axis Manager" under the View menu.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, you can't achieve this quick and easy way to balance things out when using a complete page grid.

Not with a complete page grid, no, but couldn't you use artboards for this? Each artboard can have its own grid settings.

That would defiantly not be an 'ideal' solution for me..Id like to pull the grid to the item I'm trying to get some balance in.

I've brought Affinity Designer, but I guess I'll have to stick to my Adobe CC Master Collection for now. I guess I'll come back in 2 years see if such features have been considered! Good Luck Affinity Designer Team.

How about beefing up the Grid Manager and adding an interactive Grid TOOL that displays handles and guides on the art boards or objects, allowing the user to interactively drag and adjust, similar to the way Smart Shapes are always live and adjustable? This would be in addition to the current numerical input panel of course...
