But never say never! :) I'd be happy enough with an easy modal that allows you to define a delta, direction (inside/outside) and joins. Starting in the centre, going right creates an offset on the outside, going left creates an offset on the inside. Maybe with a corner rounding tick box. Useful with convex irregular shapes and/or concave geometries. This is a pretty stupid sample of what I mean...
