Size problem when importing eps images

Recommended Posts

Dear Forum Members,

I have a minor problem in AD on OSX El Capitan. I have to import LaTeX texts into my image. In CorelDraw my method is the following:

1. I generate an eps file of the required text in TeXShop.

2. I import the generated eps document in Coreldraw. The imported eps image (text) preserves its size.

The same method almost works in Affinity Designer, but the size of the text is compressed. I figured out that the reason of this is that (for some reason) AD imports the (purely vector graphics) eps file in 72 dpi and my original AD document (in which I want to paste the eps text) has 300 dpi resolution. One solution for this problem is that I change the resolution of the imported eps file in the document setup (making sure that the object rescale with page).

Is there a way to set the default resolution for imported vector images? Or do I have to change the resolution every time from 72 dpi to 300 dpi?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Máté
