I just download Affinity. Is there the possibility for the user to change the interface to the regular white, while others may prefer the black? I hate the black interface and I can't proceed evaluating the software with that ugly and morbid black screen in front of me. My apologies if you love the black but we shouldn’t discuss tastes don’t we?

Thank you

Wallis45,

Welcome to the Serif Affinity Forums.

It's no problem feel free to discuss taste and your opinions are valued. A lighter UI is not on the roadmap for version 1 of either Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo. Please see this (very old and very long!) thread.

There have been quite a few topics about this besides the very long one Patrick mentioned. One of the recent (& somewhat shorter) ones is Interface Question. As mentioned there, a partial workaround that has helped some users is to set the UI gamma very high (slider nearly all the way to the right), which will lighten the dark gray UI background.
