RPJ
I wanted to get rid of a shadow by pasting a patch of grass over it. I copied a patch of grass: and moved it to cover the shadow: and pasted the copy back to fill the hole: The pasted back section did not completely fill the 'hole' and left a while line to left and below. It doesn't show up too well in this photo and when I blow it up the white line is miniscule: It does not show up on the exported image, so appears to be a display issue. Maybe this post should be in the Bugs forum... Thanks. RPJ Quote Better Than Nothing - Just
Staff MEB Posted November 1, 2014 Staff Share Posted November 1, 2014 Hi RPJ, this is not a bug neither a display issue. It has to do with Affinity Designer trying to antialias the edges of the cut area against the white background at different zoom levels other than 100% (or multiples). Since this is a rectangle with pixel perfect boundaries it should't show those artifacts on screen if you put your zoom at 100%. RPJ
Thanks MEB, I tried looking at the image at 100% and the white do lines disappear, but when I zoom in they are still there. I am not sure what the implications are for this, will let you know if it becomes a tangible problem. RPJ Quote Better Than Nothing - Just
Staff MEB Posted November 2, 2014 Staff Share Posted November 2, 2014 There's no implications other than the lines appearing on screen at some zoom levels. Your file will export fine, without any lines. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
