Hi All,

 

I've had this idea for a while and finally i've got a few ideas up and its going in the right direction. Think clumsy Monkey who does silly things or just doesn't think... and the catchphrase with Jiraffe.

 

May give it a new direction and turn it into in to a kids book at some point, or do i keep it adult based with interest for kids??? Probably would go down the route of Peppa Pig, Hey Duggee if it was aimed at kids. SO need to think about that but maybe keep it as is and look to get these published in a mag or online somewhere?? I still remember my comics as a kid and reading things like Hagar the horrible in the newspaper..

 

Anyway, thoughts & suggestions welcomed... Here are a few from the Ohhh, My Strawberry Monkey series

It's a so frustrating standing at the proverbial crossroads...IMHO, I'd go for the BBC 3 audience as that is the perfect middle ground. You know, adults who are still kids. Rather than go for fully fledged stories; why not go for idents, as these would work best with your skill set.

Yeah BBC3 would be the audience if I kept it as it is. I wanted to start with either books/web comic first then maybe the cartoon route. Think there will be a bigger audience with the kids, but that would take a lot more time especially when creating the cartoons...

Haha I love Hey Duggee! It's my son's favourite tv show :rolleyes:  I can definitely see Strawberry Monkey as a sketch alongside it or as a book.

Superb stuff as always.....

 

I think these would look good collected into a big square ol' book. You could always do Print-On-Demand and get some made up to see what they'd turn out like.

 

Keep pushing forward and I'll be keeping a close eye on ye to see how you get on. Exciting stuff!

Yeah, T'was an idea, a nice hardback with plenty of white space around the comic... could develop a story over 2/3 pages which ends in the catchphrase 'Ohhh, My Strawberry Monkey'. How many for a book? probably would have to be a lot for it to work?

 

Probably the simplest way, less cost and the least time consuming....More thinking to do...

Yep, here's another one....

 

Stumbled across a site called webtoons.com, seems appropriate for the Ohhh, My Strawberry Monkey series. Also looks like a great way to get your comic and brand noticed, so i'm giving it a go...

 

Here's a link My Strawberry Monkey Webtoon only 2 up so far the rest will come in time.

 

Not sure how it completely works yet but i'm sure i'll work it out, if you're in to comics then join and show some love & support (click the heart, click subscribe) for this cute, lovable and clumsy pink monkey....
