An unhandled exception has occurred. Code 0xC0000005

Recommended Posts

Hello Affinity team,

All what I do is adding some round-cornered rectangles then playing with vector cropping tool, after that I get this error "An unhandled exception has occurred. Code 0xC0000005" everytime I try to move one of the objects behind the other:

*Notice the layers panel at right, trying to drag an object to re-order it.

My greetings.

I LOVE programming and vector drawing. :)

If it created a crash report, it will give you a reference the next time you start the app. You can find the reports in %APPDATA\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\Crash Reports.

Actually, that should be  %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\Crash Reports (a percent sign before and after the APPDATA).

Hi SinovenatoR,

I can reproduce this - you don't actually need to crop the shapes. Just drawing two shapes and then reordering them in the Layers tab by draging the preview image will cause it to crash. I can also confirm that the crash does NOT generate a crash report to send off.

Thanks for letting us know!
