Hi there

I am working in Design. (Love it too and tell everyone about it) I have built an image with a 5000x5000 pixel artboard the image itself is 4400x4400 - I would like it to be downsized to 1200x1200 or close for use on a small label and a business card.

When I try to resize it, under the Transform tab, or under 'command / shift' many of the inner layers of the object disappear.  The 'outer glow' effect also increases in size.  Distorting the original artwork considerably.

If this has already been answered please redirect to the forum that covers how to fix this issue.

Thanks so much for your time!

Hi Renée,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

There's a few objects that may scale with the rest of the elements or not depending on how they are set.

If you want that your lines/strokes scale with the rest of the objects you have to select them and check Scale with object in the stroke's width dropdown in the context toolbar (or the in the Stroke panel on the right of the interface). You can select several lines to change this setting for all of them at once.

Layer Effects like the Outer Glow also have a similar option: open the full Layer Effects dialog clicking on the cog icon in front of the Outer Glow effect in the Effects panel, then check (or uncheck) Scale with Object on the bottom left of the dialog.

Let me know if you still have trouble.
