Three minor issues

Recommended Posts

1) disabled labels in dialog windows are being rendered rather blurry... See screenshot of export options dialog.

2) provided that a shape's width or height is set to 0 px (using Move tool), setting different size manually (in the Transform window) resets all the transform dimensions and numbers to empty values. See the animation.

3) when opening older (1.4) file, NOT making a copy, modifying, saving and closing the file, the app reports that "File is in use". See the screenhot. AP needs to be restarted to open that file again.

Thanks for looking into this ;)

Hi Lojza,

#1 - I'll check if this is already logged and add it if not, thanks!

#2 - This is already logged with us, it's a bit dangerous as you can end up with corrupted objects.

#3 - I can't reproduce this one, after making a copy and modifying it, are you giving it a new filename or overwriting the file that you opened?

Thanks for taking the time to report these.

#3 - I can't reproduce this one, after making a copy and modifying it, are you giving it a new filename or overwriting the file that you opened?

I'm opening 1.4 file in 1.5 beta. When the dialog suggest to make a copy, I choose "Continue" instead of "Make copy". After making some changes, I overwrite the original file (Cmd+S). Then I close it (Cmd+W). When I try to open it again, dialog "Failed to open file" appears. AP needs to be restarted to open that file again & since that, everything is OK with that file. Hope that helps.

And thank you for logging the other two issues! ;)

When you re-open it (after overwriting it and closing it) are you re-opening it in the Beta still or trying to re-open it in 1.4?

Thanks

Re-opening in 1.5 beta. I'm aware, that I lose compatibility with 1.4 after saving in 1.5.

How we can use beta 1.5?

You have to own 1.4 version (bought officially from Mac App Store) and then you can download and install 1.5 beta here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/23913-affinity-photo-customer-beta-15-beta-3/

Hmm, i'm struggling to reproduce the last issue still. What Mac OS are you on?

Hmm, I cannot reproduce it either... :( Maybe it was somehow fixed in latest beta..? Anyway, my Mac OS version is El Capitan, 10.11.6 (15G31).
