Affinity Designer missing from my purchases

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I bought Affinity Designer very early.

I have always received updates when released automatically downloaded to my Macbook Air.

I recently upgraded to a Macbook Pro and noticed I could not download Affinity Designer.

After a bit of detective work, I noticed it was not showing in my purchased apps, and when I found it in the Mac App store it was showing the price on the button, rather than 'download' as I expected.

Can you investigate. Has there been a policy for the early purchasers to buy an upgrade version?

I do not wish to publish my apple id publicly, so if you require this, can you send a private message or an email?

Thanks,

Richard.

Yes,

I have two email addresses connected to my apple account. One gmail and one iCloud.

I have signed into both and get the same list of purchased apps no matter which I use.

This is normal. You have an alternative email to login to anything that requires your Apple ID. This happens at the point of creating an Apple ID, it doesn't allow you to use an Apple email address as your main Apple ID and when you create the iCloud email it links them together.

If the purchase is not there you can go to getsupport.apple.com and choose apps and software and follow through until you get to speak to Apple directly either though a chat window or phone call.

Sometimes it helps to log out of App store, restart your Mac and then log in again (as long as you have the right ID of course).

They did mention they have logged in with a different email address, although the same Apple ID, so they would of logged out. In my experience i've never seen a need to restart the machine. It's usually a case of another ID used to make the purchase or an issue with the App Store which I have seen a few times and in most cases a quick chat with Apple will resolve that.
