smadell Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Over the years I have written quite a number of macros for Affinity Photo, many of which I’ve posted here. I also have a large number of macros that I use in my everyday work that have never been posted online. My plan is to put these together in an easily-accessible form and post them onto the new, alternative Affinity forum - CreoFora. As of the moment, there is a 5 MB (or is it 10 MB - not really sure!) limit on uploaded files, so many of these will probably be referenced by a link to my Dropbox folder. None of these files actually exist yet, but it is my intention to create them and give everyone access to them (along with instructions, as needed). My suggestion is to make your way over to CreoFora.com, register, and pick up where we left off. Hopefully, without the trolling or bad blood that has been too prevalent in the recent weeks. I promise the macros are coming eventually, and will be accessible without cost or risk to anyone. jmwellborn Posted October 5 Posted October 5 @smadell I had been thinking about the loss of your macros for so many. This is wonderful! Wonder if @StuartRc would consider this too? He has provided so many assets and brushes which will also be a huge loss! Also thinking of @v_kyr and his large collection of resources. Unfortunately he has been away from the forums for almost two years. It is a big loss yes. I felt the need to remove some assets as from tommorow I will have no means of controlling editing them!.....The older brushes are going to remain on the Forum...(as far as I am aware they can still be downloaded)as they are referred to and linked in quite a few places outside the Forum...Which is why some brush sets had 1000's of downloads and other brush sets not so many. Nor do I know what the future compatibility of these assets would be! in future version. I have tested uploading some assets..to CreoFora...seems to be fine!...😀 Started with Halloween....as it will be Halloween soon!....These are new assets not available on the this Forum.... and constructed from Zine Borders and March of the Robots + a little bit of Inktober... There are a couple of other assets that I can upload...In conjunction with this but need to do a bit of housekeeping...(Zombie I | Zombie II | Haunted Trees) I was planning on doing some pumpkins + maybe some more work on Haunted Trees combined with 'old school Monsters like Frankenstein | the Mummy | The Golem etc... for assets as the zombies were last year. (I do have another zombie cooking though!😀) There should be a brush set to go with this asset group but I have not decided which one..Could be PB 19 Inker or PB35 (Zombie) or a New version of PB06 Poison Beyond this you are absolutely right I should consider adding more to CreoFora...but I am not sure what direction to go now...not a fan of Social Media generally!....and Discord is probably not for me... CreoFora needs a bigger audience... @AffinityJules@SrPx@FraGar@dannyg9@Hilltop@d3ed@KarinC NB For information: Brushes I have 48 Brush sets at various stages of completion... Some were not upgraded to V2 changes to Brush Dynamics. Most were displayed on the Forum but not all released...I am using my latest ink sets lots...as I think I finally managed to create something I can use regularity. I like the Biomech inkers a lot.. and created paint versions (Dynamic adjustments) as well. Vector Asset kits Asset Sets Well..good question not sure but >50 not all were visible on the Forum and Some sets are much larger than what I did upload (I don't know how many mushrooms there are ...100's alone). jmwellborn Posted October 5 Posted October 5 @StuartRc Yours is a massive task! I am at work right now, downloading the files for free Assets, Brushes, Styles, etc. as I scroll through the SEARCH categories, which I will save in case anybody posting on CreoFora or @Alfred's website have read a reference to them on the read-only site and still want them. I have not downloaded your files, because I cannot begin to manage all of your wonderful contributions! (Actually, I have had some trouble sometimes, figuring how out to do it!) I have got most of the wonderful collection from @v_kyr saved, because they were all listed in one spot. This scrolling through over 5,000 pages entries for "styles" is a PROJECT.🫠 SrPx 1 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.7.6. jmwellborn Posted October 5 Posted October 5 @StuartRc "and yes it a massive undertaking" It is indeed. I don't know yet what I'm going to do but the one thing I do know is: Discord is not for me. As my only role in this forum was primarily to share my composites, and not participate much in technical help over issues with the software, I'm rather caught in no man's land scratching my head wondering what to do - if indeed I do anything? These forums suited me but now I'm cast adrift. But never say never. SrPx, DelN and StuartRc 2 1 Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. These are not my own words but I sure like this quote.

If time allows, I will try to show up by "Alfred's Inn" (I will be calling it that, and he can't do anything about it ) and CreoFora. I knew Alfred had a forum, but I totally ignored the existence of CreoFora. I am actually deploying my ascii walls (nothing like in my glorious times of Infinite Density, tho) on a platform that is definitely not built for that (neither for dinosaurs of my kind)... yet though... I was familiar already with that thing, somehow, hence I had developed less resistance than others to it (I mean, I had the app installed, lol...). It's not that bad, I could even say the tips & tricks section (and "share your work") can be useful like an old forum (structured like one...almost), although I prefer forums. Anyway! Yep, I'll try to go over those two places. Thanks for the invitation. I'd love to keep admiring your immense brush collection (even while I've ended up just using two digital brushes I made on my own and then all those that mimic the old materials: oils, watercolors...But I love to try new brushes. Kind of a habit) and your ink illustrations. Okay... I don't know if this will be published or the forums are already read-only... StuartRc 1 AD, AP and APub V2.6.x. Windows 10 and Windows 11.
