Resizing file and pixelated pdf result

Recommended Posts

Hi All

I had to re-size a customers oversized Pdf. I did the usual of opening the original file, copying it and resizing it, but when I create a pdf from the file there image is pixelated.

I'm a bit stuck on what I'm doing wrong in the sequence of importing the image? I'm not placing the image, which I know would result in this.

Thanks in anticipation

Vernon

Hi Vernon

I take it the image is already part of the imported PDF, are you resizing the whole PDF in one go or manually resizing the objects? When exporting, select the More option. Is Downsample images enabled, if so what's the Resampler set to?

If you can upload a copy of send me a PM with a download link I can take a look, the file will be deleted once I've finished with it.

Regards

Hi

Im having exactly the same problem with resizing jpegs. I open a jpeg in affinity photo. I copy it. Then paste it in to my project. Resize it (smaller in this case) and it blurs (pixelates).

Ive tried adjusting the dpi. Ive tried making a new document the same size as the photo and then when I'm done I go to Document > resize document and i get the same result.

Thanks

MD
