If you can upload a copy of your image or affinity file and let me know what adjustments have already been made, and what you would like to remove. I can take a look. If you want to delete the background layer, you can click on the padlock and then click on the "dust bin" in the bottom right corner of the layers panel. (If I understand your question right).
