Hi;

I'm having trouble with the develop persona. All the options work correctly except the noise reduction one; I'm able to use it, make the changes properly to the image, but when I hit the develop button those changes are lost. It only happens with noise reduction, any other setting I use works fine and remains after develop. Did anyone encounter something similar?

Thanks;

Val

Hi Val, this is due to some filter previews, namely denoising and defringing, changing depending on your zoom level. If you zoom to 100% (keyboard shortcut Cmd + 1) then click Develop, you should see the developed result is exactly the same as the preview.

Some other software simply does not preview certain filters at all (again, denoising and defringing) unless you are zoomed to 100% for this reason. It might be worth Photo having an explanation on the interface somewhere when using these filters, as this issue is being brought up more frequently. Hope that helps!
