Rickard Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I had to place approximately 30 images across 50 pages, so I used File> Place and selected all images. What constantly popped up in the left field was the Place tab. I switched to the Pages tab to navigate, but whenever I placed an image, Publisher automatically switched back to the Place tab. So I had to switch back ... approximately 30 times. Please keep the selected tab persistent. I get it if the Place tab appears the first time, but if I switch tabs, I want it to remain switched. I had forgotten about that method. It's not as intuitive, but I remember now that I thought it was a real time saver when I saw the feature being introduced. HCl 1 Quote

Have you tried putting the Place panel out on its lonesome next to the Left studio so it is "floating". Then when you are finished with the Pages panel and actually place the image the Place panel will disappear. Or you could try docking it on the Right Studio, I haven't tried that so I cannot say if it will stay there. I have things set up so the Place panel is floating next the Left studio. In the scenario you describe I would fill it with a dozen or so images, if not all 30. Then I can use the Pages panel to locat the various pages for the various images as the panels are more or less side by side.
