What is the ‘correct’ way to change text color on iPad? (ikr)

Attached is a photo of me attempting to change the colour of text on iPad. 

This seems simple but it’s honestly a matter of luck that it works.

1. I select my text
2. change the colour on the sliders at the top
3. tap away, colour reverts, colour picker remains/tap colour picker, then tap selection tool, colour reverts

It eventually crashes. Am I doing this right?

The UI is buggy. From memory it may have been reported before, but the broken color chooser is used in many UI elements like filters, vector, text, layer fx etc and every instance seems in need to be reported individually.
 For me it worked when selecting color from swatch first, then switching to color mode and try again.

Sometimes you need several attempts.

I think therein lies the problem. 

I want to love my iPad and this app but there are just so many little bugs it’s hard to report them all.

Please always search for older bug reports and add your case there if it matches.

Hi @0x5am5,

If you change the text colour via the colour panel, this should be correctly retained. I'll log this issue with the Text Frame/Art text contextual colour spot with the developers.

thank you. It’s very intermittent. There’s also an issue I spotted with alignment. I’m sorry I don’t have a screen recording but this can be buggy reverting back to the position after I aligned it. 

I love this app please keep it going 🙏

To keep everything organized, please report only one issue/bug at a time.
