bt1138 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 This is a pdf from a program that generates a tiled image opened in Designer. There are faint white lines between the tiles. Original is attached. Is there a way to make the tile lines go away? (Using Windows 11) If you group and merge the tile objects in Designer, the tile lines DO go away, so it's a display issue. RE4LLY Posted June 14 Posted June 14 That is an antialiasing artifact and this issue has been discussed here many many times before (this week alone there have been multiple threads about this) as it is a common occurrence in Affinity but also in many other graphic programs. The best fix for that is to turn off antialiasing for the affected layers. To do so easily, group all your image layers together, select the group, click on the little cog icon in the top of the layer panel to open the blend options and in there set the antialiasing setting to "Force Off". If you have a look at the pdf bt1138 posted you can see that they are pixel perfect in this case and when rasterizing all panels together the line disappears so it is purely a visual artifact and the only option is to turn off antialiasing. (Unlike in the other thread that just popped up with this issue where when rasterizing not perfectly aligned layers it leaves an actual white line of pixels) Quote

Yes true it would be nicer to have the units in pixels but even then the screenshot wouldn't help you because none of the objects are selected so it doesn't tell you anything. Also you missed a clue from the original post: "If you group and merge the tile objects in Designer, the tile lines DO go away, so it's a display issue." This already tells you that the objects must be pixel aligned otherwise the merging/ rasterizing would result in the line appearing as actual pixels. Old Bruce 1 Quote

So again - that's why I asked if the design is pixel perfect. If you have a problem with that, please stop responding to my posts. Thank you And I had answered that question of yours and explained to you exactly what was going on. I understand that it is sometimes not possible to check out the provided file or that one can sometimes miss a piece of information in a post but that is no reason to be snarky as you have been/ are now. Especially since the issue had already been resolved yesterday. Pšenda 1 Quote
