Error message when trying to Save to NFS network Share on Mac

Recommended Posts

I was trying to export from Affinity Photo to a NFS Share mounted on my Mac at a client location, after a long pause a window appeared (which I have uploaded) with the error message:

Failed because the file could not be created. Please report this to Serif.

File::Unmanaged fcntl E002 [errno = 77]

The export failed and I was unable to save to the NFS share (it's a NFS share as it's the required protocol for Apple FCPX application on NAS).

Any idea what this means?

Error 77 = no locks available.  You've somehow maxed out the number of file locks that the OS will allow.  It may be down to the NFS share.  We've not seen this error code used before so I'll have to investigate.
