Car Poster - Vintage Automobile Show Poster, Paris

Here is a recreation of a vintage poster for the Paris Auto Show.  This was my attempt to incorporate some of the stylistic and design elements of that period of print advertising and graphic arts.

Very nice work, Gary. I love this style of poster. Have you recreated an existing one, or is this your own design?

Thanks Kasper.  It was inspired by an original poster from the period that was for sale for $$$$.  I recreated the text style and used similar graphic elements, but the car is an original illustration.  I changed the year of the show to match the model year of the car.

Well spotted! I believe Grande Armée should also be hyphenated: Grande-Armée

Good point Alfred! Generally there's no hyphen between Grande and Armée, but there are a few examples where it's present, so your comment is justified.

Thanks Alfred but l'accent aigu is correct in these cases.  Décembre (without accent would be pronounced Duh-cembre).

I think you’re mixing up who said what! I merely suggested that « Grande-Armée » would be better with the hyphen included, it was @G13RL who highlighted the fact that the word « Décembre » in your version of the poster is missing l’accent aigu.

Thanks Gnome - per your suggestion I added some parchment paper texture with ~35% transparency.  Let me know what you think.
