NotMyFault Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Using the cr2 RAW from the thread below I used serif raw to develop with linked raw as target. I added a live defringe layer on top. when trying to re-enter develop persona, it insists on rasterizing the RAW layer. expected: linked status is preserved, no rasterization. raw file is located in download folder and access is granted. when cancel and using undo, Ressource Manager confirms file was linked. Ron P. Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Not able to replicate this. I used one of my CR2 files, and followed your directions. I was able to re-enter the Develop persona numerous times, and the RAW file was not rasterized. Quote Affinity Photo 2.6..; Affinity Designer 2.6..; Affinity Publisher 2.6..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Ron P. Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I tried this on the current retail version and got the same result, no rasterization of the RAW file. This probably has no impact, but one difference jumps out at me. I'm using a PC, Windows, and you're using an iPad. Possible for some reason the iPad version is messed up, requiring the RAW file to be wrongfully rasterized before taking it back into the Develop Persona? Ldina Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Same as Ron P on MacBook Pro (commercial version...I don't have 2.6.3 beta loaded). No rasterization. NotMyFault Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Happens every time. i resettled my iPad a few days before, so everything is fresh and installed from AppStore. Attached a video. interestingly, when I saved, closed, and reopened the file it complained about missing resources and required to grant access again. This happens quite rarely, no clue what triggers this. NotMyFault Posted May 11 Author Posted May 11 Issue happens with beta only. Retail keeps linked layer. Apple differs as it enforces strict access permissions, Windows is more forgiving. I modified Assistent settings to not allow rasterization, now Photo says I should rasterize the layer manually. walt.farrell Posted May 12 Posted May 12 I'm seeing the same behavior on my iPad, but only in beta .3309, not in retail 2.6.2. I didn't add any additional layers. Just Develop to Linked RAW, then go back into Develop, so it's a very simple scenario.
