NotMyFault Posted May 4 Posted May 4 By accident I added 1% noise to both nodes of gradient. when I remove the noise, the rendering became more noisy (due to forced dithering). it is strange that a gradient with 1% noise (right side, gradient tool active) looks cleaner than a gradient with 0% noise (left). When rasterizing issue persists. second issue: dithering and/or noise depends on direction of gradient (radial with either black or white in center). the outer triangles are copies with just gradient nodes swapped/inverted in gradient tool Note: I added a postirize adjustment to make this more visible. Issue can be observed even without, but requires higher zoom level. noise inconsistency.afphoto Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Staff NathanC Posted May 6 Staff Posted May 6 Hi @NotMyFault, I've logged the noise inconsistency with the developers. Looks like a file-specific bug on iPad, on desktop this works fine on your document. This has been historically logged once previously as a user file issue on iPad, but I'm not sure what the trigger is. I'll log this and link it back to the original issue. NotMyFault 1 Quote
