I am unable to save my current project without causing Affinity Publisher to crash. This comes after simply editing some text in the document (no major changes or alterations to Master Pages, for example). File is attached.

After having just overcome an issue where editing any text in the document caused crashes, I'm becoming incredibly exhausted by Affinity's instability, but have hundreds of hours into this project and can't simply switch to another ecosystem. Really hoping that the team finds a way to address these issues. 😮‍💨

I’ve just opened that document (with many missing resources), made a few simple changes, and then saved it without any problem in Publisher 2.6.2 on Windows.

Can you tell us which type of storage you are saving to? (Local hard drive, NAS, cloud, etc.)

Have you tried switching “Save History with Document” OFF? (It’s in the File menu.)

Were there any crash reports created? (If so, please supply them.)

Hi @Figrin,

I get the same results as @GarryP, no crash when saving.

If you can attach a copy of your latest crash report, i'll get it debugged and see if that tells us why the crash is happening.

Also if you could try turning off 'Save with history' from the file menu, as @GarryP mentioned and let us know the results.

Unfortunately, no crash log is being created when the document crashes.

The storage solution is Local Hard Drive.

After testing with Save History with Document unchecked, the crashes appear to have stopped.

Thank you for your help!
