influxx Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Is there a dedicated space on the forum for bug reports, I didnt see one. In my file you will find two layers. One is providing an RG map for displacing the other using the FILTERS > DISTORT > DISPLACE... function See my screen grabs for the preview says should happen, and what the actual results are Download the file and try for yourself and report back Displace Bug.afphoto Quote Mac OSX Catalina - Affinity Designer | Photo | Publisher - V2.6 Pixel-pusher since 1995. Ldina Posted May 1 Posted May 1 @influxx I get the same bad result with the Destructive Displace Filter after clicking Apply using your example file (MBP, M4, Sequoia, AP v2.6.2). I tried doing it with Hardware Acceleration turned on, and then turned off. Same result. I noticed the bottom layer was 274 x 300 dpi and the top layer was 300 x 300 dpi. I changed the bottom layer to 300 x 300 and re-rasterized it, but it didn't make any difference. I also added some bold text, rasterized it and applied the destructive filter. That didn't work either, but the Live Filter did work. The Live Displace Filter seems to work okay with the same Displace settings if placed into the Masking Position of the top layer (i.e., dragged onto the thumbnail of the top pixel layer). influxx 1 Quote 2024 MacBook Pro M4 Max, 48GB, 1TB SSD, Sequoia OS, Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher v1 & v2, Adobe CS6 Extended, LightRoom v6, Blender, InkScape, Dell 30" Monitor, Canon PRO-100 Printer, i1 Spectrophotometer, i1Publish, Wacom Intuos 4 PTK-640 graphics tablet, 2TB OWC SSD USB external hard drive.

Yet another way is to go to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Home’ in the breadcrumb navigation (‘Home › Affinity Support › Affinity Support & Questions › …’). influxx, Old Bruce and R C-R 3 Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)

Thanks Ldina. Thats a great solution. didnt think to try the live effect. But good to know its not just me or my system being buggy. Really appreciate you taking the time. Sincerely. 👍 Ldina 1 Quote Mac OSX Catalina - Affinity Designer | Photo | Publisher - V2.6 Pixel-pusher since 1995. Pushed more pixels than you've had hot dinners.
