Crashes as soon as I export to PDF

Posted

For what it is worth I am on Mac OS.

First I did a save as and then took a look at the new file. I had a crash as soon as I tried to export to PDF (for print) here is the crash report.

Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store-2025-04-30-104258.ips

I reopened the file and deleted everything that was hidden plus I deleted the PNG file that was off of the artboard and tried exporting again. Success.

TEST 3 bruce.pdf

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Can confirm I can replicate this crash on Windows. It appears to be the 'Paragon Crown' curve that was triggering the crash for me. The curve's Stroke has a pressure graph applied to remove the stroke, if the curve's pressure is reset or the stroke is removed by changing the line style, this prevents the crash. I have encountered this issue once before on a separate user's file, so I'll get this logged and linked to that issue internally.

To workaround this issue moving forward, I'd recommend using the 'No Line' Style for the stroke instead of adjusting the pressure.
