ultramartin Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I was trying to customize my TOC for a while and then suddenly Affinity seems to have disappeared the list of elements to include in the TOC (the list with the checkboxes that used to be below where it says Style Name. I have tried to remoce my TOC and create a new one, but it doesn't help. How can I bring it back? Quote
Hangman Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi @ultramartin, With one of the Book Chapters selected as the Style Source Chapter in the Books panel hamburger menu, if you select Synchronise Settings... and ensure Text Styles is ticked and you then click Synchronise Now, does that update the ToC panel to show the relevant Text Styles you wish to use for your Table of Contents? ultramartin Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 (edited) Hi @Hangman, Thanks for replying! I did the steps you suggest, but it doesn't change the ToC panel: I still don't have the list of styles to include with check boxes next to them. Edited April 30 by ultramartin Quote
Hangman Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi @ultramartin, Can you upload your Publisher file(s) and .afbook file so we can take a look (assuming you're working with a Book and Chapter files)? ultramartin Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 I do notice that if I just create a new page with a new document to insert into the book, and create a new ToC in this new document, then everything is back to normal. So maybe it's a glitch/bug? Quote
ultramartin Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 (edited) @Hangman Here are the files. (I didn't include the images, but I assume that shouldn't make any difference on this particular problem.) Edited May 1 by ultramartin Quote
Hangman Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi @ultramartin, Many thanks for the files... The only Chapter that includes a text style is Planting, so there will only be one entry in the ToC. The Planting Chapter is set as the current Style Source Chapter, so the previous instructions should work... ultramartin Posted April 30 Author Posted April 30 @Hangman I still couldn't get it to work, but then I remembered that I had previously, under the Text Styles panel for the ToC document (on the right hand side of the screen), asked to Detach and Delete All Styles. So now I tried "Import Styles..." and chose the Planting document in the pop up window, and that fixed it. Hangman 1 Quote
