gorito Posted April 30 Posted April 30 I am using Publisher 2 in order to create 10 different labels per page with data that I get from a spreadsheet. My spreadsheet has about 200 rows of data and I want each row to be a new label, 10 different labels per page. In the end, I want to have 10 pages with 10 labels per page. I have created the text and linked the text to the different rows in my csv file. All is fine until I push the button "Generate" in the Data Merge window. Each row is repeated ten times for every page. That is not what I want. I want ten pages with ten different labels per page. Anyone that knows what I am doing wrong? Quote
Hangman Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi @gorito and welcome to the forums, Could you upload a screenshot showing how your page is laid out and showing your Layers panel expanded so we can see how you have everything set up? Komatös Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Use the layout tool for data merging. Use it to create a layout mask with one column and ten rows. Insert the field variable in the first row. Don't be surprised, the same content is displayed in all ten rows. When you now start the merge, the result will look as you would expect. EDIT: Is each line value in the .csv file in a separate line or are the values only separated by a comma (or other separator)? In the latter case, the result would look as you described.
