"Edit Table Format" hangs after a new text style is created and then crashes

Application: Affinity Publisher V2

Version: 2.6.2 and 2.6.3

Reproducible: Yes

Relationship with a document: No, happens to newly created documents with and without tables inside them

OS version: macOS 15.4.1 (24E263)

Hardware Acceleration: happens with both options

What happened: Crash

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new document (I tested A4 and A5)
2. Open the Table Formats panel from Window → Table
3. Click the inner ≡ button, then click Edit "Default"
4. In the Cell Format details view to the right, open the Style dropdown and select New... from the dropdown menu
5. In the Create Paragraph Style window, click OK to confirm your new style (Note how the style selected in the Style dropdown is now [No Style] and the Edit Table Format window now hangs: clicking OK or Cancel are registered but have no effect)
6. Select (click) one of the cells in the Structure pane on the left; Publisher now crashes

Unusual Hardware: no (MacBook Pro M1 Max 2021, no peripherals attached)

Has it worked before: cannot remember

 

Workaround: create the style before hand
