I mentioned this issue in my previous post, but it was not the title of the post or the initial report, so I'm separating into new bug report.

Mfg: HP   OS: Windows 11 : Windows 11 Home  : version 24H2 :  SO Build:  26100.3915  Windows Experience pk Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.83.0

Hardware acceleration is enabled, attaching screenshot of that dialogs settings.

All 3 apps newly installed over 2.6.2 as attempt to fix issue

First install source of Designer update from inline prompt when going from Publisher to Designer in Edit in Designer mode

Reinstall with downloaded EXE/MSI packages, reinstalled all 3 apps in this order Publisher, Designer, Photo

Issue consistent and repeatable:

Open Publisher 2.6.2, Navigate> Menu > Edit in Designer

When Designer opens I get following message:

"The file is already open on Affinity Publisher 2 on this device."

Designer stops on this message and does not continue to attempt to open Publisher 2 source file.

Actions taken:

I did a windows 11 disk cleanup before reinstalling all 3 apps, I did not uninstall the 3 apps, I just installed over them??

Also in cleaning I did not select DirectXShader Cache or Delivery Optimization Files to clean.

I think something is missing from that description. Nowhere have you described opening a file, so how did you get something to use Edit in Designer on?

Please provide more details of that, i.e., how/when you got a file open so that you could choose Edit in Designer. I have a feeling that might be relevant to trying to recreate what you're seeing.
